16-year-old killed, four others injured in Milton crash

MILTON - A 16-year-old was killed and four others were injured in a single-vehicle crash on Hare Road today.

Milton Police responded around 10:30 a.m. to the area of 484 Hare Road where a Toyota Camry had gone off the road and hit a tree.

The crash occurred at the bottom of a hill on a portion of the road that is not paved.

The teenager who died along with another person in the car were both ejected.

The other teenager ejected from the vehicle and another three occupants were transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

The ages of the crash victims and their hometowns were not released.

Heavy downpours were reported in the area at the time the crash occurred.

Hare Road from Thurston Road to Route 153 remained closed for several hours while the investigation into the crash continued.

The crash remains under investigation by the Milton Police Department with the assistance of the Strafford County TAR team.

Anyone with information on the crash or who may have witnessed the Toyota on Hare Road during the time of the crash is asked to please call the Milton Police Department at 603-652-4500 and asked to speak with Officer Nicholas Nirgianakis.
