16-year-old on dirtbike dies in collision with Jeep in Acton

ACTON - A Sanford teenager died on Tuesday when his dirtbike crashed into the side of a vehicle on Route 109 in Acton.

The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the area of the Acton Trading Post where an initial investigation revealed that Aric J. Davis, 16, was operating a 2005 Kawasaki dirt bike south toward Shapleigh when he struck the side of a 2005 Jeep Cherokee operated by Kelly Bshara, 39, of Shapleigh, as she was turning left into the store.

Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is being reconstructed by sheriff's deputies and remains under investigation.
