DOVER - A Candia man will spend two to four years in prison for his part in an armed robbery at the Milton Road Shell back in March 2017.

Joseph Rapaglia, 21, pleaded guilty before Strafford County Superior Court Judge Steven Houran on Monday prior to receiving sentence after which he was remanded back over to Strafford County Jail pending transfer to one of the state's men's prisons.

Rapaglia and an accomplice, Alex Toribio, 19, of Newmarket, wore masks as they walked into the gas station and convenience store around 12:30 a.m. on March 16, 2017, and demanded money while showing a gun.

Afterward the men fled south on Milton Road on foot eluding police, but were both arrested a few days later.

Toribio was sentenced in Strafford County Superior Court last month to one and a half to three years in the Milton Road robbery plus concurrent sentences on robberies in both Candia and Bedford.

Rapaglia was also ordered to participate meaningfully in all counseling, treatment and education programs mandated by prison officials.

Both Rapaglia and Toribio had faced maximum sentences of 15 years behind bars.
