A big thank you from The Rochester Voice after phenomenal first month

It was just last month that The Lebanon Voice officially became The Rochester Voice, and what a month it has been.

The fastest-growing newspaper in New Hampshire and Maine outstripped all expectations with a 25 percent increase in daily readership since July 1. To put that in hard figures, that amounts to well over 4,000 daily users and almost 30,000 unique monthly users.

And for the first time, our Facebook Likes exceeded 1,800 with some 50 new ones in just the past two weeks.

We are extremely humbled and grateful for the support we have received in Rochester since our big move and we look forward to making sure Rochester readers as well as those in Milton and Lebanon, Maine, get the best news coverage we can provide.

Of course, whenever there is a change in format and design, there will be a few bugs. Most of those bugs are behind us already.

For our thousands of new readers let's go over a few things you may not realize.

All sections of our paper are free except for Top Stories, Rochester, Milton, Lebanon and Opinion.

During this introductory time all of our readers get five free "premium content" stories so you can see for yourself what we're all about.

All of our readers can post their nonprofit or civic event for free on our Calendar, which is located on the right side of every page. To submit an event just click on the date of your event and follow the prompts. You can even post a picture.

All readers are welcome to submit a news tip by emailing therochestervoice@aol.com.

And we invite all of our readers to go to our Facebook page - key word Rochester Voice - and like it so you can get automatic updates.

Again, we at The Rochester Voice want to thank you for your support.

By the way if you decide to subscribe to a full year of full content, the cost is about 13 and a half cents a day. That's about one-eighth the cost of a cup of delicious Cumby's coffee, which is also a pretty darn good buy.
