After monthlong fund-raiser, funds for new needed prosthetic remain scant
8:20 a.m.
The Rochester Voice was pleased today to donate a portion of our profits for the month of June to Destiny Phaneuf, formerly of Lebanon, Maine, who was injured in a horrific train accident in Lebanon 10 years ago. To read of her trials and tribulation following this terrible accident, please see our two-part story that appeared in the newspaper on May 28 and May 29. You can find them in our Archive section. The Rochester Voice will continue to give anyone a free annual subscription valued at $50 if you donate $50 or more to her go fund me page at https://www.gofundme.com/new-prosthetic-and-fixes-funds. Destiny could use some help if you can spare any amount. A new prosthetic could cost more than $60,000. So far she has raised less than $500. - Thank You, Martha T. Soto Galicia, president; and Harrison Thorp, editor, The Rochester Voice.
