ROCHESTER - Almon Cole Sr., 77, of Rochester, N.H., died on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was the son of the late Alveros and Gertrude (DeWitt) Cole from Porter, Maine.
He attended Brownfield, Maine and Portsmouth schools. Almon worked as a lifelong truck driver.
He was a member of the Victory Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, car racing, bingo and spending time with family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Caroline Cole of Rochester; brother Frederick Cole Sr. of Lebanon, Maine; his children Carmen Stanton and fiancée Anthony Carone of North Conway, Tom Cole Sr. and wife Elaine of Rochester, N.H., Dawn Souza and husband Joseph of Chiefland, Fla., Annette Thibodeau and husband Scott of Lebanon, Maine, Almon Cole III of Rochester, Sandy Bickmore and husband Randy of Lincoln, Calif., Almon Cole, Jr. and significant other Joanne Carr of Lubbock, Texas; and three stepchildren Martha Carlson and husband Doug of Sanford, Maine, Robert Elliott and wife April of Milton, Jeannine Bush and husband Leo of Nottingham. He leaves behind 26 very special grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents; sister and brother in-law Ethel and Lawrence Sinclair; son Ricky Cole and sister in law Maxine Cole.
