ROCHESTER - For the second time in three days, a pedestrian was struck in downtown Rochester while crossing the street in a crosswalk, this time on North Main Street in the area of Pine Street.

Rochester Police and Frisbie EMS got the call around 4:45 p.m., about 20 minutes after sunset.

After a brief investigation it was learned that William Ruff, 32, of Rochester, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado on North Main Street heading in to town when he struck Kevin Henderson, 44, of Farmington, who was crossing North Main in the crosswalk.

Henderson suffered what appeared to be nonlife-threatening injuries, but was transported to Frisbie Hospital by Frisbie EMS as a precaution.

The Silverado suffered minor damage to the front end.
