FARMINGTON - Farmington Police say a pickup truck that may have been stolen could be linked to an argument between two Farmington neighbors that led to one being shot at close range by the other.
Nathan Douglas Foster, 20, of 156 Ridge Road, gave himself up today at the Farmington Police station around 9:30 a.m. He was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
Officers first responded to 154 Ridge Road around 12:20 a.m. today to investigate a shooting that may have occurred after an argument between Foster and the victim, who was shot in the upper chest/shoulder area at close range by a small caliber handgun, according to a Farmington Police press release.
The defendant then left the scene, possibly in a red 2005 Dodge 1500 pickup truck that was taken from a neighbor's house about the same time.
The truck may have a broken taillight.
Meanwhile, the victim is currently at an area hospital where he is believed to be in stable condition, police said.
Farmington Police say the investigation is ongoing.
