ROCHESTER - Armand E. Poisson, 76, died on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, after a brief illness at Frisbee Memorial Hospital. He completed his life's journey surrounded by his family and returned home to be reunited with his Lord and loved ones, especially his son-in-law, Paul M. Royer. He was the son of Theodore and Marie (Brulotte) Poisson. He was born in Canada on September 2, 1939. He grew up in Somersworth, N.H., and attended local schools.
Armand was a professional photographer and owned and operated Unique Studios for 40 years. He had served as the Superintendent of Photography at the Rochester Fair for 8 years. His passion was photography and he truly enjoyed inspiring and helping others in his craft. In his early years, he worked in area shoe shops as a Lining Cutter. His pleasure in life was spending time with his family and friends, metal detecting, traveling and dining out with special friends, Terry and Carol Martin and also Joel Sherburne. He will always be remembered for reaching out and helping out others in need. Armand was a very loving husband, father, friend and everyone will miss him dearly.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years, Helen (Veno) Poisson of Rochester, and his daughter Pamela (Poisson) Royer of Milton, Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law, John and Simonne McCallister. A step-grandson, Jeff Royer of Rochester; Very special extended family members: Roger Kirouac and wife Donna of Oklahoma, and Marie Kirouac of Georgia. Two sisters: Diane Belcher of Florida, Jeannette Vincent of Missouri. Two brothers: Theodore and wife Linda of Dover, N.H., and Emile and wife Ann of Tuftonboro, N.H. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Joseph Alfred and Lillian Vigneault; Son-in-law, Paul M. Royer; and Sister-in-Law Lucille Gillette.
