CONCORD - New Hampshire birds of prey will be the subject of a free talk with Kevin Wall of New Hampshire Audubon on Thursday. The event takes place at the state's Fish and Game Department, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord, at 7 p.m. No preregistration is required.
This is a great chance to learn about live birds of prey and see them up close, said Wall. who will display several live raptors, including owls and a red-tailed hawk, as he explores the various adaptations that help establish these birds as some of New Hampshire's top predators. He'll also talk about how NH Audubon helps protect them, and how you can help.
Wall is the Director of Education at N.H. Audubon's McLane Center in Concord, where he is responsible for the care and management of six live birds of prey. He has completed training at The Raptor Center on the campus of the University of Minnesota and at Natural Encounters, Inc., in Florida. He combines this knowledge with hands-on experience and skill as an educator to deliver an entertaining and informative presentation on raptors.
