'Below Zero' forum focuses on subfreezing surroundings

CONCORD - Project WILD is offering "Below Zero," a supplementary education program that focuses on the understanding of wildlife in frozen environments.

The workshop will be held on Monday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Beaver Brook Nature Center, 117 Ridge Road, Hollis.

Registration is $40, and includes a program manual and snacks. Download the brochure and registration form at www.wildnh.com/education/documents/below-zero.pdf.

To register, send your completed registration form and payment of $40 to N.H. Fish and Game, Attn. Kathy Galvin, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord, NH 03301, by January 12. Please make checks payable to: NH Wildlife Trust.

Below Zero was created by the Canadian Wildlife Federation to complement the Project WILD activity guide. Below Zero activities are both interactive and inter-disciplinary and target both formal and non-formal, K-12 students.
