Choral group's annual fund-raising yard sale set for July

ROCHESTER - The Granite State Choral Society will be holding its Annual Yard Sale on Saturday, July 20 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot at Emmanuel Church Family Life Center, 24-34 Eastern Ave. in Rochester.

Granite State Choral Society will also be accepting donations of items on Friday, July 19 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the church. Interested persons can bring clean, gently used items during that time for drop off.

Donations will be accepted for the following types of items: small furniture items (tables, bookcases) small working appliances, housewares, clothing, books, tools, home decor, lamps, etc.

Items not accepted include computers, laptops, monitors, gaming consoles, TVs, large household appliances and mattresses.

All proceeds are used toward covering the costs to produce the concerts in addition to helping to provide financial assistance for any singer who might need a bit of help with joining costs. GSCS is a 501(c)(3) non- profit arts organization. Donations are tax deductible and receipts can be requested.

The Granite State Choral Society is a non-auditioned community chorus dedicated to presenting quality choral performances, ranging in styles from classics to Broadway, and to promoting the appreciation of the choral arts. The members come from all walks of life from ages 12 and up, and range from experienced singers to novices just discovering the joys of choral singing.
