BARRINGTON, N.H. - Christine Robinson Paquette: November 26, 1967 to November 23, 2016 (self-written)
One of the advantages of dying of metastatic breast cancer is that you have time to write your own obituary. I was born, Christine Marie Robinson on November 26, 1967 in Dover, N.H. Although I was not a N.H. resident my entire life, N.H. was always HOME. I attended Dover Catholic School then Dover High School before getting a Bachelor of Science Degree from Plymouth State College. After college, I explored opportunities at GE Capital in Atlanta, Ga., before moving back to N.H. in 1996 to work for our family business. I soon realized that I wanted a career with a corporate ladder to climb. In 1998 I landed a job with Liberty Mutual. I earned a Master's degree from Boston University and spent 18+ years learning the insurance industry. I loved everything about Liberty, especially the people. I am grateful for the relationships that blossomed into friendships and the support given to me during the trying days of my battle with cancer.
In 2000 I married my soulmate, Robert R. Paquette. We met roller skating! My life with Bob was easy and filled with love, fun and happiness. Bob bought me a Valentine's Day card that sums up our relationship perfectly. It said, One day when we're in heaven together, we'll look at each other and say, "Yeah, we pretty much had this on Earth, too."
In addition to my amazing husband, I am survived by my parents, Darrol and Marie (Carrier) Robinson, my brother Steven Robinson, my nephew Zachary Robinson, my grandmother, Gabrielle Carrier (can you believe Mem is 99?), my step-daughter Amanda Thomopoulos and my beloved dog, Ella. Many loved in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends have also outlived me. Knowing and loving each of you was the success story of my life.
I was blessed to have the following life-long friends, Mary Beth Pugliese, Michele Loos, Lisa Lemay and Jane Dobbie. You, my friends, were my foundation. You made my life's journey worth living. Cancer killed me but I live on through you. Je vous aime!
I lived my life with very few regrets. I rest in peace. My last words of advice: Be kind to one another. Relationships define the quality of your life and determine your legacy.
