DOVER - A Rochester man faces up to 15 years in state prison after his second brush with the law on drug possession charges.

Keith McConnell, 51, with a last known address of 372 Portland St., was indicted last month in connection with a Oct. 5 arrest in Dover in which he is alleged to have possessed an undisclosed quantity of the drug fentanyl.

McConnell has a prior conviction on drug possession charges from November 2007.

This newest charge, a Class A felony, can draw a 7½ to 15 year prison term and a $50,000 fine.

The Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down last month and released last week.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that enough evidence has been presented to warrant a trial.
