DOVER - A Rochester man arrested in the January robbery of a Somersworth gas station has been indicted in the December robbery of the same store.

Bruce True, 32, of 105 Whitehouse Road (Amazon Park), lot 106, was formally charged with one count of robbery, a Class A felony, which carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in state prison, in connection with his alleged heist at the Nouria Energy Gulf Station at 420 Route 108 on the morning of Dec. 18.

According to the indictment, True did put (the cashier) in fear of immediate use of physical force "by entering Nouria Energy and brandished what appeared to be a butcher knife at (the cashier) while stating, "empty the ----ing register ... put the money in a bag."

Just a couple of weeks later, on Jan. 4, True allegedly robbed the same store a second time, this time at night while brandishing a handgun, police said. He was arrested in that incident the next day.

In both instances the suspect left the store after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash.

The status of the January case was not immediately available.

True remains held on no bail.

The September indictments were handed down Thursday and released today.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, rather that enough evidence has been gathered to warrant a trial.
