ROCHESTER - A Rochester man is facing trial in a Strafford County courtroom in an at-home marijuana growing operation that one veteran city lawman calls the biggest he's ever seen.

David Brock, 53, of 25 Anita St., is charged with a special felony called Acts Prohibited in connection with the arrest. If convicted he could spend 10-20 years in state prison and be forced to pay a $300,000 fine.

Brock was arrested on Jan. 12 after New Hampshire Parole officials alerted Rochester Police to the suspected growing operation after a parole check at his residence.

"It's probably the biggest I've ever seen inside a house," Rochester Police Capt. Gary Boudreau said Tuesday.

The sophisticated setup included special grow lights and other equipment, Boudreau said.

More than five pounds of weed and up to 91 plants were recovered by police.

The Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down May 14 and released on Tuesday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that enough evidence has been gathered to warrant a trial.
