City man said to have brandished gun at minors

DOVER, N.H. - What may have been a chance encounter yet ended up a violent confrontation at the Rochester Fairgrounds between three juveniles and a man last June has led to his indictment on multiple felony charges that could land him in state prison for decades to come.

Kevin Bowdridge, 38, 69 Chestnut St., Apt B, is charged with three counts of criminal threatening with a deadly weapon and three counts of reckless conduct, all felonies.

Court records show that on June 4 Bowdridge came in contact with the unnamed juveniles at the fairgrounds, and when he did, brandished a Glock 27 .40 caliber handgun and told them to "get on the ground."

According to Rochester Police Capt. Gary Boudreau, Bowdridge ran into the juveniles near the grandstand after he'd heard a noise. Neither Bowdridge nor the juveniles had any business being at the fairgrounds that day, Boudreau said.

Bowdridge faces 10-20 years for each criminal threat count and 3 ½ to 7 years for each reckless conduct count.

The Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down May 14 and released onTuesday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that enough evidence has been gathered to warrant a trial.
