City's Drug Take Back Day brought in record haul

ROCHESTER - The Rochester Police Department and Bridging the Gaps Coalition on Thursday announced that Saturday's National Drug Take Back Day was the most successful since the department had begun hosting the program. Officials were able to collect 10 boxes filled with 263.2 pounds of unused medication.

"We would like to thank you the public for helping us dispose of these drugs so they do not fall into the wrong hands or become disposed of improperly," a release from the department said.
