MILTON - Clifford E. Trafton, 72, of 8 Island Park, died Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born August 20, 1946 in Bangor, Maine the son of Mary D. (McGlauflin)Trafton and the late Harold Trafton.
He was a longtime resident of Milton and attended Nute High School where he met Marion, the love of his life.
He owned and operated Trafton Excavating, was a member of the NH and ME Designers and Installers. He loved to work on high performance cars, small engines, heavy equipment and could often be found in his yard under a hood.
Members of his family include his wife of 53 years, Marion (Maleham) Trafton; daughter, Denise M. Trafton; grandson Ethan R. Trafton, his buddy; his mother, Mary Trafton; a sister in-law Darlene (Bob) Clement; a brother in-law Bill (April) Maleham; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Lisa Trafton in 1967; four brothers (Harold, Roger, Gene and Mike) sister (Bertha); mother in-law Marion (Welch) Maleham and father in-law H. William Maleham.
