Coast Guard auxiliary holds safe boating course in April

KENNEBUNK, Maine - A Safe Boating course will be held beginning in April at the Kennebunk Elementary School in Kennebunk.

The course is approved in all states that require boater education, and the information will help make students a safer boater on inland and coastal waters.

Topics include boat selection, navigation rules, legal requirements, equipment, emergency procedures, and trailering.

The course starts April 4 from 6-8 p.m. with four class meetings in all.

The address is Kennebunk Elementary School, 177 Alewive Road, Kennebunk, Maine.

The total fee is $75 and includes a full color text booklet. NH Certification included if needed.

The course is presented by the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Saco Flotilla 24 in cooperation with RSU21 Adult Education of Kennebunk.
