DOVER - The Cocheco Valley Humane Society is putting out a desperate plea for volunteers to help with parking at Haunted Overload this October, an event that serves as a major fund-raiser for the Dover shelter.

In return for supplying parking volunteers, CVHS gets 10 percent of event proceeds.

For every parking volunteer they don't supply, DeMeritt Hill Farm, which hosts the haunt, has to hire someone so that money does not come back to help animals waiting for adoption at the shelter.

Haunted Overload, a Halloween-theme amusement venue, is located in Lee and begins its shows on Oct. 13.
