ROCHESTER - On the morning of Friday, August 17, 2018, Cynthia A. Spencer, 68, died peacefully in her home surrounded by family after a yearlong battle with cancer.
Cindy, as her friends called her was born April 15, 1950 to Raymond and Arlene (Morrissey) Fearnley of Hudson, Mass. She was the oldest of three children.
Cindy attended Hudson High School in Hudson, Mass., where she met her husband and soulmate Donald Spencer. Cindy had one daughter, Sarah (Spencer) Baker of Rochester.
Cindy spent many years working at Digital in Hudson, Mass., before finishing her career at Vertex Pharmaceuticals in Cambridge, Mass.
Cindy enjoyed many different hobbies including: photography, quilting, gardening, bird watching, kayaking and spending time with her husband Donald. She especially loved spending time with her two grandchildren Brody and Oliver Baker, sharing her hobbies with them and photographing every moment of their lives.
Cindy is predeceased by her father Raymond Fearnley and survived by her mother Arlene Fearnley; brother Raymond and his wife Ellen Fearnley; sister Linda Burhans; husband Donald Spencer; daughter Sarah Baker; son-in-law Charlie Baker; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and two grandchildren Brody and Oliver Baker.
