FARMINGTON - David M. Gregoire, 50, died Monday, May 29, 2017. at his residence surrounded by his loving family, following a battle with cancer. He was born in Rochester, January 19, 1967, the son of Louis and Carolyn (Connelly) Gregoire.
He attended Rochester Catholic School then proceeded to Spaulding High School graduating in 1985 where he was an active member of the varsity basketball team.
David started his construction career working for his father's building construction company at age 14. He also worked for SUR Construction and then was self-employed for several years with lifelong friends Scott Doyon and Tommy Collins. In the last six years he worked for North and South Local Carpenters Union 723.
David was an avid fisherman who always traveled with a fishing pole in his truck. If there was a brook or a stream on his way home from work, he would be home late. He also spent a lot of time on the N.H. lakes and deep sea fishing. He was a big time sports enthusiast who loved watching, coaching and participating in every sport. He was a big supporter of his children's activities and sporting events. He had a strong passion for his gardens, he loved to golf and enjoyed socializing with friends where he was a member at the Victoire club.
David spent a lot of time at his family camp on Ossipee Lake where he enjoyed boating, fishing, cooking for the family, campfires, and he always enjoyed sunsets while boating on the lake.
David was predeceased by his younger brother Eric "Rick" Gregoire (1999); his grandparents James and Claire Connelly and Roland Gregoire.
Survivors include his parents Louis and Carolyn Gregoire and wife Angela (Horgan) Gregoire of Farmington; his 97 year old paternal grandmother Rita M. Gregoire; brother James and wife Pamela Gregoire of Farmington; sister-in-law Sarah Gregoire of Florida; his son David J. Gregoire and daughters, Deanna and Mckenzie Lloyd; step-children: Dylan, Adam and James Hogg; three grandchildren: Jordan Gregoire, Maddox Hogg and Zeke Zombeck; nieces and nephews: Kayla, Kelsey, Jase, Lindsey and Eric Gregoire. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and too many friends to list.
The family wants to express their gratitude to the Seacoast Cancer Center in Dover, N.H., for their exceptional care and support and the Cornerstone VNA Hospice of Rochester.
David will be dearly missed and will live on in our hearts forever.
