MILTON - The cause of a Friday night fire on Depot Pond Road has been classified as undetermined, a Milton Fire and Rescue official said today.
First responders were called out to 11 Depot Pond Road around 6:20 p.m. for a smoky fire in an upstairs bedroom. Firefighters doused the blaze quickly with minimal damage to the residence, Assistant Fire Chief Devon Pageau said today.
The homeowner who first noticed the fire was credited with mitigating the damage when they shut the bedroom door to contain the fire to the single room, fire officials said.
Working smoke detectors in the residence helped ensure all occupants got outside safely. No injuries were reported.
