MARY ESTHER, Fla. - Donald S. Warnecke, 93, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 18, 2017, in Mary Esther, Fla. This great man is survived by his wife of 73 years Marion, their two daughters Cheryl Warnecke and Linda Buczek (husband Teddy), four grandchildren Jeff Warnecke (wife Kim), Todd Buczek (wife Leah), DJ Buczek (wife Jodi) and Barry Buczek. Not to mention five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Don was born in Milton, N.H., and lived there all of his life graduating from Nute High School then he entered the Army Air Corp. He and his beautiful bride decided to make Milton their home and resided there until they moved to Florida in 2003. He worked as a carpenter/millwright then owned and operated the Lobster Pound for over 15 years in Milton. He was a life member of the VFW & the Knights of Columbus and his passions included family, sailing and vehicle restoration.
Don knew how to live life. He and his family would spend time together racing cars, family gatherings, canoeing, camping, racing dirt bikes and so much more. When Don was with his family he was in his happy place.
All Don did in life Marion was by his side. Their love and dedication to each other and the symbol of marriage has been an inspiration.
We will miss you Don, Fred, Yi and Grampa - you are the best!
