ROCHESTER - Doris O'Hara, 78, of 3 Pebblstone Lane, Rochester, died on Friday, January 4, 2019 after a sudden illness. Born in Berlin on June 29, 1940, she is one of 13 siblings.
In her lifetime, she was employed at various factories; most recently the Salvation Army store in Rochester. But the best job she ever had was being a mom. She loved being a mom. She always said that raising boys was easier than raising one girl - Haha!
She loved watching the Boston Bruins. In her younger years, she was a spitfire. She loved to go out dancing at the Elks in Rochester, the Legion in Rochester or Le Club Victoire in Rochester. In her later years, she mostly lived with her daughter and son in-law.
She was predeceased by her longtime companion Joe Binette, her brother Mike O'Hara and sister Shirley O'Hara Baker.
She is survived by her daughter Annette Gadbois and her husband Richard; son Robert Rivard; son Ronald Rivard and his wife Bobbi; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild Elaina Rivard. Her surviving siblings are Nancy Ferris, Lorraine Harvey, Pansy Mckinley, Alma O'Hara, Sue Morrow, Candy Blair, Edward O'Hara, Frank O'Hara, George O'Hara and Corraine Corliss and their spouses and children.
She was a beautiful person with a beautiful soul. She will be deeply missed. You have more than earned your wings. Fly high beautiful.
