ROCHESTER - The 'Dorks' are back at the Rochester Performance & Arts Center on June 16 when they'll bring us Geeks In Galaxies: alternate universe, different characters, same hilarious improv comedy.

Dorks in Dungeons is an acclaimed comedy troupe based in Portsmouth. Dorks first formed in 2012 at the Players' Ring during a small weekend festival focused on alternative theater events.

Over the next three years, the show continued to perform monthly, moving to the Seacoast Rep in 2013 as part of the Red Light Series curated by Knate Higgins. For season 4, the Dorks moved to 3S Artspace, where they continue to delight audiences every month.

The Dorks have shared the stage with guests from film and television, such as Miltos Yerolemou from Game of Thrones and Mark Patton from Nightmare on Elm Street 2, as well as local actors from a variety of production companies. Some shows have even incorporated musical underscoring from live musicians with Miles Burns, Artistic Director of the Seacoast Rep, as the most-often recurring musical guest.

The Dorks have had the opportunity to travel and perform at various conventions including Gen Con in Indianapolis - the original role-playing game convention started by Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons. Dorks in Dungeons has also appeared at Boston Comic Con, Granite State Comic Con, PortConMaine, and Hal-Con in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

In 2013, Dorks in Dungeons was awarded Best of NH 2013 Editor's Pick: Best Improv Comedy by New Hampshire Magazine.

PARTICULARS - The show starts at 8pm on Saturday, June 16. Tickets start at $15. Reserve tickets online or call the box office (603) 948-1099.

The Rochester Performance & Arts Center is sponsored by Holy Rosary Credit Union and Rochester Rotary. The Rochester Performance & Arts Center is located at 32 North Main Street in Rochester, NH. Visit www.RochesterOperaHouse.com/RPAC for more information.
