DOVER - A Dover man was arrested on Thursday for failing to comply with sex offender registration laws.

Ethan Allen, 38, of 66 Watson Road, was convicted of aggravated felonious sexual assault and felonious sexual assault in Carroll County Superior Court in 2009.

As a result of his convictions, Allen is required to register as a sexual offender, which includes providing employment information to the police department having jurisdiction where he is residing.

Dover Police Department detectives began an investigation on Nov 28 after receiving information that Allen was working at a job he had not previously reported to the police department.

As a result of the investigation, Dover detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Allen charging him with a Class B felony for failing to comply with RSA 651-B:9. "Change of Registration, Duty to Inform."

Allen was arrested without incident at the Dover Police Department.

He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in the Strafford County Superior Court on Thursday.
