Dover man indicted in Farmington double homicide

CONCORD - More than nine months after he was arrested in the gruesome stabbing deaths of two women in Farmington a Dover man has been indicted in the horrific crime.

Timothy Verrill, of Dover, is formally charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of reckless second-degree murder and five counts of falsifying physical evidence in connection with the deaths of of Christine Sullivan and Jenna Pellegrini in Farmington on Jan. 27

Verrill was indicted for first-degree murder for purposely causing the death of Christine Sullivan by stabbing her multiple times and striking her in the head with a blunt object, a press release from the state Attorney General's office said today.

An alternative count of second-degree murder alleges that Verrill recklessly caused the death of Sullivan under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by stabbing her multiple times and striking her in the head with a blunt object.

Verrill was also indicted for first-degree murder for purposely causing the death of Jenna Pellegrini by stabbing her multiple times. An alternative count of second-degree murder alleges that Verrill recklessly caused the death of Pellegrini under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by stabbing her multiple times.

In addition, Verrill was charged with five counts of falsifying physical evidence. These charges allege that Verrill, believing that an investigation into the murders was about to be instituted: (1) did conceal the body of Sullivan by wrapping it in various tarps and coverings and concealing it underneath a porch at 979 Meaderboro Road in Farmington; (2) did conceal the body of Pellegrini by wrapping it in various tarps, trash bags and coverings and concealing it underneath a porch at 979 Meaderboro Road in Farmington; (3) did alter a blood stain on the exterior porch of the residence at 979 Meaderboro Road in Farmington by pouring Prestone Driveway Heat ice melt onto the blood stain; (4) did conceal a blood-stained sheet, as well as the personal belongings of Pellegrini inside a black plastic trash bag in the basement of the residence at 979 Meaderboro Road in Farmington; and (5) did conceal a number of blood-stained items inside a clear plastic trash bag in the basement of the residence at 979 Meaderboro Road in Farmington.

It is alleged that Verrill committed these crimes with a purpose to impair the verity or availability of the evidence in such proceeding or investigation, the press release states.

Verrill continues to be held without bail at the Carroll County Jail.

The charges and allegations set forth in the indictments are merely accusations and Verrill is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

The announcement of the indictment was made by New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Christopher J. Wagner and Farmington Police Chief John Drury.
