Dover man nabbed in DWI crash that knocked out power

DOVER, N.H. - A Dover man was arrested for drunken driving today after crashing into a utility pole, causing a large swath of the southeastern part of town to lose power.

The crash occurred on Back Road around 1 p.m. and resulted in the arrest of Jeffrey J. Polizzo, 41, who was charged with DWI.
Eversource personnel said they expected residents to remain without power for several hours.

Areas affected included the area of Henry Law Avenue.

Polizzo was released on personal recognizance with an arraignment date later this month.
