DOVER - A Dover man has been arrested in connection with a recent string of burglaries at businesses inside the Cocheco Mill building on Central Avenue.

Shawn Hill Jr., 23, of 25 George St., was charged with seven counts of burglary, all class B felonies, after an investigation revealed his alleged involvement in Tuesday break-ins at multiple businesses in the mill.

Police say Hill forced entry into the closed businesses during the early morning hours of Tuesday and stole cash and electronics from each. He was arrested later in the day at Patty B's Restaurant on Dover Point Road in Dover as he attempted to use a gift card that had been stolen from inside the mill building.

Hill also had warrants issued for his arrest for felony forgery and a bench warrant from Strafford County Superior Court for violation of bail.

He will be held at Strafford County Jail pending his arraignment Tuesday.
