DOVER - An East Rochester woman found guilty in November in the rape of a "physically helpless" 19-year-old woman was sentenced to four to eight years in prison on Wednesday.

Mackenzie Godin, 25, with a last known address of 47 Main St., was indicted last January on two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault and one of attempted aggravated felonious sexual assault. She was found guilty on all three. Each charge carried a 10-20 year prison term.

According to the indictment, Godin knowingly engaged in sexual penetration of the victim, "when at the time of the sexual assault, (the victim) was physically helpless to resist." A second count said the rape occurred "when at the time of the sexual assault (the victim) indicated by speech or conduct that there was not freely given consent to the performance of the sexual act."

The rapes occurred in Rochester between June 1 and June 23 of 2017.

Godin will be able to shave some time off her sentence if she successfully completes sexual offender treatment while in prison. Upon release she will be required to register as a sex offender.
