ROCHESTER - Predeceased by husband of 42 years, Eleanor Anne Warren Marchak, a resident of Rochester, died peacefully on Saturday January 24, 2019 due a prior brief illness. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., on March 4, 1925 to Rollins Watkins and Lillian B. Warren she lived in the Boston area eventually settling with her aunt and uncle, Marie and Charles J. Warren, in Peterborough.
She attended Peterborough High School and went on to obtain a nursing diploma from the New Hampshire State Hospital in Concord She worked as a nurse, which including teaching, in various Hospitals in Massachusetts and New Hampshire eventually obtaining a Master of Occupational Education from the University of New Hampshire. With that degree she went on to teach at the Regional #9 Vocational Center-Kingswood Regional High School in Wolfeboro, where she was very successful and proud of accomplishments and awards she and her students achieved over the years. She eventually retired from this job.
In retirement, she volunteered for the Auxilliary Unit at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital for several years which she enjoyed very much. She married Michael J. Marchak, Jr., on April 11, 1953 and raised a family.
She leaves behind three daughters, Elizabeth Anne Marchak-Hart, Sue Ellen Rowell (deceased) and Margaret Rollins Marchak; one son Michael J. Marchak, III; and one grandson, David Mclaren Hart.
