ROCHESTER - Elizabeth Marjorie Huson, most recently of Rochester, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital surrounded by loved ones. It was her 87th birthday.
One of eight children, Elizabeth was born to parents Grace (Lindsey) and Howard Stanton, January 15, 1932, in Beverly, Massachusetts. During her young adult years, Elizabeth proudly served her country in the Air Force. Over her 87 years, Elizabeth wore many hats, none more important to her than being a mother and later a grandmother.
Lover of all things chocolate, Elizabeth enjoyed sewing projects that typically ended up as gifts for loved ones. Reading, visiting with friends and family, bird watching, and spending time with her grandchildren were pastimes that brought great happiness to Elizabeth. Over the course of her life, Elizabeth was a member of the Eastern Star, in which she found honor in holding the position of Worthy Matron.
Loved by all who knew her, Elizabeth had an infectious smile that could light up any room. She loved a good joke or a funny story.
Elizabeth is survived by her sister, Joan G. Stanton; daughter Pam Gibson and husband Charlie Gibson of Rochester, her grandchildren, Haley Gibson and William Gibson; her great-granddaughter, Ava Gibson; and many nieces and nephews.
