ROCHESTER - Ernest Paul Woodbury, 87, of Rochester Manor died Monday, February 1, 2016, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
He was born February 29, 1928, in Rochester, the son of the late Carl and Gladys (Andrews) Woodbury. Ernest served in the US Army 7th Infantry Division in Korea. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War. He was a lifelong resident of Rochester. He was a longtime member of the Salvation Army and has many certificates and awards for his years of service. Ernest enjoyed playing the guitar and singing.
The widower of Betty (Richardson) Woodbury who died in 1996, he is survived by sons, Richard Woodbury and Martin and wife Joanne Woodbury, all of Milton, N.H.; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; nieces, Beverly Meattey, Edie Brown; nephew, Carl Cosgrove. He was predeceased by his son, Dwayne and step daughter, Karen Dewitt.
