ROCHESTER - Esther Rose Poisson, 90, formerly of 18 Adams Avenue died Monday, July 17, 2017, at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, N.H. She was born April 4, 1927 in Barrington, N.H., the daughter of the late Carl and Gurlie Carlson.
Esther was a lifelong resident of Rochester and graduate of Spaulding High School. She worked at Wyandotte and the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard where she was the first women painter. Esther enjoyed dancing, traveling, playing cards, the lake and the beach. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Members of her family include son, Robert and wife Helen Poisson, Rochester; daughter, Susan Loggins and her late husband Thomas of Livermore, Calif.; grandchildren, Paula Gyurcsan and husband Ferenc, Penny Gregoire and husband Duane, Jeffrey Loggins and wife Marcia Nguyen, Meredith Loggins, Michelle Loggins; great-grandchildren, Izabella Gyurcsan, Alyson Gregoire, Robi Gyurcsan, Aaron Gregoire, Christian Gyurcsan, Landon Loggins her companion of 15 years, Ray Richardson. She was predeceased by her husband Paul Poisson, siblings, Richard "Bud" Carlson, Roy Carlson, Alice Cartier, Violet Broderick and Ruth Voehl.
