BARRINGTON - Evelyn Harriet Beasley, 93, of Weeks Lane in Barrington, died on Sunday, January 14, 2018. She was born June 30, 1924 in Somerville, Mass., the daughter of Ethel (Leggett) Eddy and James F. Eddy of Medford, Mass.
She graduated from Medford High School Class of 1942. She worked as a bookkeeper at the Tudor Press, Inc. in Boston for four years. During those years she also did volunteer at the Boston Dispensary. She married in February of 1945.
Evelyn was a member of the Mary Torr DAR in Rochester, the Rochester Historical Society, The Portsmouth Historical Society and the Eddy Family Association.
She loved nature and the out of doors. For many years she enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens. Evelyn raised and nurtured numerous animals; goats, sheep, pigs, horses, dogs and cats. For many years she thoroughly enjoyed working on family genealogy and researching local history.
Evelyn was predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Wayne Machon Beasley.
She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Duke and her husband, Murray of Lemington, Vt.; her grandson, Adam Duke and his wife, Abbey from Wilmot, her sister-in-law, Kishi Beasley of Salinas, Calif., and her nieces, Hannah and Beth Beasley of Salinas, Calif.
