ROCHESTER - Everett W. "Tink" Hersom, 96, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. He was born May 4, 1920, in Rochester, N.H., the son of Chester and Ethel (Ellis) Hersom.
He was a lifelong resident of Rochester and served in the Army during World War II. He worked many years at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as a mechanic. Tink enjoyed wood carving and playing pool. He was a life member of the American Legion Post #7 and the VFW.
Members of his family include his wife of 69 years, Louise Hersom; son, Charles Hersom and wife Patricia; grandsons, Christopher Hersom and wife Brittney, Craig Hersom; great grandson, Sawyer Hersom; niece Linda Nylund; nephew David Hersom. He was predeceased by brothers, Clarence, Robert, Nelson, Herbert and sister, Ruby Manson.
