DOVER - A former Milton Mills man was sentenced on Tuesday to 12 months in Strafford County Jail for his involvement in a string of burglaries at Kohls and Walmart in Rochester.
Ronald Angell, 34, formerly of Western Ave., but who has also resided recently on Jackson Street in Rochester, has already spent 79 days at the jail, so he'll only spend about three and a half more months before his release.
He was also given a three- to six-year sentence for three felony thefts at Walmart which will be suspended if he stays on good behavior for three years.
As part of the suspended sentence he must also enter the drug court program when he is released from county jail.
Assistant County Attorney Katelyn Henmueller said she would've liked to have seen a little more jail time, but was glad Angell had agreed to participate in the drug court program.
"I wished he'd gotten more time, but it's also important for him to get the treatment," Henmueller said on Wednesday afternoon.
