Farmers' Market opens on Commons next Tuesday; SNAP/EBT cards will be accepted

ROCHESTER - The new Rochester Farmers Market will open on the Rochester Common for the first time next Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.

Market days will run every Tuesday from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at the common through October. Entertainment on opening day will be provided by "Just By Chance."

As a special treat, a sunflower planting station for children will be offered by the Sanborn Hope Farm. The official Grand Opening with Ribbon Cutting and remarks by Mayor Caroline McCarley will take place on June 14 at 3:30 p.m., with entertainment by Cedar Mountain Bluegrass Band.

Through a partnership with Seacoast Eat Local, the Rochester Farmers Market has received a grant from Heal NH Foundation (HNH), enabling us to offer SNAP/EBT along with training the market volunteers.
