Five grads awarded scholarships from ladies' groups

LEBANON - Both the Dorcas Society and The West Lebanon Community Ladies Circle give two $500 scholarships to Lebanon students either graduating or all ready attending a secondary institute.

This year Ladies Circle recipients are Abigail T. Brunette and Miranda Dow who are both graduating from Noble High School.

The Dorcas Society gave scholarships to Diego Diaz and Timothy W. Ziadeh.
They also gave a onetime scholarship in Art to Jordan Lister. This art scholarship was given in the name of Margaret Potter who was a past member of Dorcas and a talented artist.
The scholarship money is raised through the groups' events like Bake Sales, Ham and Bean suppers, Fall Fest and the Mother's Day Tea among others.

The scholarships are some of the many community projects undertaken by the two grousp.
