MILTON - Milton voters head to the polls on Tuesday with five candidates seeking a three-year term as selectmen.

Former selectman Andrew Rawson; and Larry Brown, a longtime member of various town boards, will be joined in the hunt by Adam G. Sturtevant, Billy Walden and James M Beaulieu.

Beaulieu is also running for a spot on the Zoning Board of Adjustment - which has two opening. Sean Skillings is seeking the other.

One article getting a lot of attention and drawing criticism is Article 3, which opponents have said could have a detrimental effect on the town by allowing amusement parks and other "commercial entities" - even a waterpark - in residential neighborhoods.

A flyer in opposition to the article was delivered to most town residents by mail last week.

Another article submitted by petition seeks $15,000 for renovation and reconstruction of the town-owned boat ramp at Town Beach.

The polls at Milton Assembly of God Church will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

A nice day is expected for voting with highs in the upper 30s under partly sunny skies.
