ROCHESTER - Florence Mae Seavey, 101, formerly of Congress Street died Friday Aug. 28, 2015, at St. Ann's Nursing Home in Dover after a brief illness.
She was born Jan. 8, 1914 in Cornish, N.H., the daughter of George and Elsie (Robbins) Leonard.
She has resided in this area most of her life and worked as a waitress for Marion Ross Caterer and Fernald- Hackett Restaurant. She was an active member of First Church Congregational and the Kings Daughters. She served on the board at the Gafney Home and was member of the Womens' Club, Garden Club and the "Happy Hookers".
The widow of Ralph Seavey who died in 1987, she is survived by sons, John Seavey of Springvale, Maine, James Seavey of Norwich, Conn.; daughters, Beverly Court of Sacramento, Calif., Gail Zimmerman of Sacramento, Calif.; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by three brothers, and two sisters.
