ALFRED, Maine - A Florida man has been indicted for allegedly having unlawful sexual contact with a minor 12 or under in Lebanon last year.

The two-count indictment handed down by a York County grand jury also alleges that Arthur Luther, 71, of 11620 Park Blvd., Apt., B309, Seminole, Fla., solicited the child for sex.

Further details of the case were unavailable as the victim is a minor.

The unlawful contact is said to have occurred between June 1-June 30 of last year, while the solicitation is alleged to have occurred between Aug. 1 and Aug. 31 of last year.

Luther could face a prison term of up to 15 years if found guilty on both charges.

The York County grand jury indictments were handed down on Tuesday and released on Thursday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that enough evidence has been gathered to warrant a trial.
