CONCORD - A former Milton man and this week's "Fugitive of the

Week" was arrested without incident by members of the Nashua Police Department as a result of an anonymous tip late Saturday night.

Christopher M. Smith, 45, formerly of Milton and Londonderry, had been wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for a sex offender registration violation and sales of a controlled drug (methamphetamine).

Smith is required to register as a sex offender due to two 1994 convictions in Strafford County for aggravated felonious sexual assaults on a victim under the age of 18.

The above arrest warrants were issued on July 6 and July 12.

On Saturday evening, the Nashua Police Department received an anonymous tip that Smith was staying at a residence on Hollis Street, acted quickly and were able to arrest Smith without incident.

The town in which the original offenses were committed was not immediately available.

The date of the aggravated felonious sexual assault offenses was Nov. 13, 1992, according to court documents.
