CONCORD - The U.S. Marshals Service is announced that this week's "Fugitive of the Week" surrendered late last night at the Rochester Police Department.

Charlene Doucette, 29, was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for bail violations, stemming from an original charge of possession of heroin/fentanyl. This Strafford County arrest warrant had been outstanding for almost a year.

Doucette had been featured as the "Fugitive of the Week" on Wednesday. This feature was aired on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, The Union Leader and The Rochester Voice among other outlets.

The "Fugitive of the Week" has been a very successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of numerous fugitives since its implementation in 2007.

After being featured just this past Wednesday, Doucette felt the pressure to surrender and did the right thing by surrendering at the Rochester Police Department around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Doucette was processed and transported to the Strafford County Jail for holding pending her initial court appearance later today.
