DOVER - Great Bay Services recently received a grant for more than $53,000 from the Jane Minesinger Charitable Trust that will support the most crucial operating expenses for the nonprofit.

"We are grateful to receive this grant," said Executive Director Jennifer Nickerson. "Our operations create the strong foundation for us to provide our services to 180 individuals in the region."

Jane and Richard Minesinger were longtime supporters of Great Bay Services, before their passing in 2016.

Great Bay Services was founded in 1954 by a group of parents who refused to send their children with disabilities to the state institutions. It continues 65 years later, still on the forefront of innovative and progressive care of adults with disabilities. Services are available in Southern Maine and Seacoast New Hampshire.

Great Bay Services offers a Planned Giving program for those interested in remembering GBS in their will. For more information, visit the website at wwww.greatbayserices.org or contact Elizabeth Worboys Burr in Mission Advancement at 603-842-5344 x26.
