ROCHESTER - Helen (Indorato) Driza, 89, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 26, at Rochester Manor in Rochester, N.H., after a long period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Leon J. Driza, who died in 1984.
She was born in Boston, in February 1928, one of four children of Santo and Gaetana Indorato, and raised in Medford, Mass.. She lived in Tewksbury, Mass., from 1950 until 2012, when she moved to Rochester, in the care of her daughter.
As a resident of Tewksbury, she was an active member of the Tewksbury Senior community, and since moving to Rochester, was active in the Dover, N.H. Senior community.
She leaves her daughter, Lisa A. Gibbs, and her life partner Bruce Kelleher, of Rochester; two grandchildren Erica L. Ferguson and her husband James of Haverhill, Mass., and Michael A. Gibbs of Rochester; her BFF, Rose Sergy of Medford; and was predeceased by her daughter Diane Driza in 2012; and her life companion Edwin Samuelson in 2011; siblings, Mary Reale, Josie Indorato, Samuel Indorato, and nephew Santo Indorato.
