ROCHESTER - Last fall it was Crystal Gayle, and already this fall the Rochester Opera has brought us renowned artist and Woodstock legend Melanie.

Now, later this month, the Little River Band, one of the pre-eminent soft rock bands of the last four decades, will grace the Rochester Opera House stage.

LRB will play one show Friday, Nov. 27, at 8 p.m.

The Australian band is famous for its mega hits "Lonesome Loser", "Lady", "Cool Change" and "Reminiscing".

The current lineup with members Wayne Nelson (bass guitar/lead vocals), Greg Hind (guitar/vocals), Chris Marion (keyboards/vocals), Rich Herring (guitar/vocals), and Ryan Ricks (drums/vocals), gives new energy and arrangements to LRB's classics.

The reformulated band's live performances have been described as "awesome" and "fabulous."

Formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 1975, Little River Band with their unique blend of musicians soared to the top as one of the greatest vocal bands of the '70s and '80s. The band is currently touring internationally and headlining concerts across America.

Other songs the band is known for include "It's A Long Way There," "Man On Your Mind", and "Take It Easy On Me".

Recognized to be among Australia's most significant bands, LRB has sold more than 30 million records and scored 13 American Top 40 hits. With powerful vocals and guitar harmonies, the band set a record for remaining on the Top Ten chart for six consecutive years. BMI recognized Reminiscing, with over five million airplays, as one of the most frequently played songs in the history of American radio. Lady follows close behind with over four million airplays.
