RAYMOND, N.H. - Food, fuel, lodging. Add strippers to the list of this exit's amenities.

A sign promising a strip club awaited at the next exit gave Labor Day weekend drivers, well, pause on Sunday.

The white silhouette of an exotic dancer on a stripper pole was found emblazoned on a eastbound Route 101 highway sign.

Highway officials had no clue who did it or when the image had been affixed to the sign, which sits off the highway before Exit 5.

State Department of Transportation spokesman Bill Boynton described the image to the Union Leader as a three-foot tall sticker or decal. He said it wasn't authorized and that he had no idea how it got there.
The sign had been blank for some time.

DOT crews were quick to remove the image.
